  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

High XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.

unless u can stun or block dinner's kiss this fight is ALWAYS going to be RNG regardless of the strat. I brought benax (1,2,1) as my 2nd pet and used bubble to miss some of the kisses. (edited)

Worked perfect. Used Chitterspine Skitterling with black claw and swarm for the last frog

Literally 80 rounds later I can't stop getting transformed into a frog. I have tried this a dozen times and it worked exactly zero of them. It is far, far too dependent on RNG.

Used an Abyssal Eel (BB, 2-2-2) and and Aqua Stider (SS, 1-2-2) Did as suggested and brought the Emperor Crab to the backline when it got low on health, with a Renewing Mist on it. This didn't heal the Emperor at all, when I brought him back.
After I used the Emperor and it got to low health (first pet was dead at this point; emperor had about 50% HP left) I took the Eel out, and used Acidic Rain, followed by Pump untill the second pet and my Eel died. The Aqua Strider was for me next in line, used Cleansing Rain followed by Pump this time. Aqua Strider died, finished the job with the Emperor - at this point barely half alive - but got it done; with 176 health on the Emperor left.

Still works in SL! I took along a Chitterspine, and when my crab got turned into a frog, just black claw + swarm to finish the fight.

Edellis wrote on 2020-08-21 12:17:25

Holy hot cakes! Thank you so much, this was such a better strat! I used a mix of the comments and created my own team along with the crab.
I used Chitterspine (* * 2) and Garden Frog (1 1 1), let the crab solo the first two pets, used swarm for the bubble and because I was so fed up with all the previous attempts and that damn frog kiss, I used my frog for some revenge. Thanks again everyone!

On his last pet if you're like me and you hate eating two whole turns just to break Bubble, you can use a Chitterspine skitterling with swarm to break the bubble.

Narothen wrote on 2018-04-07 07:53:07

Spawn of G'nathus (2,2,1), Emperor Crab (1,1,1) and Eternal Strider (1,1,2) worked like a charm, quick even with several frog stuns.

Gotta love the Emperor Crab but this strat was too long for me. I used Narothen's strat featured in these comments and it was a breeze.

I had some ridiculously bad rng on this one. My crab kept getting polymorphed every time Dinner used Frog Kiss and I wasn't immune to cc. Yes, every single time. 25% chance my ass! After a few rounds of shielding up, healing up, getting polymorphed and hitting his bubble I managed to land 2 or 3 hits on Dinner. Then Dinner crit for 649 dmg with his kiss and my crab died. I lost my shit.

Ellementally wrote on 2018-04-08 02:12:15

I've managed to win this fight with a team of frogs, just spamming frog kiss and healing. This is a true RNG Warrior strategy but if you get lucky it can work, giving you plenty of free turns. I've had successes with froggy teams in many of these pet fights.
I used the strongest non-gulp frogs - Jubling and the P/P Yellow Bellied, but i imagine any frog varieties will do.

This was the last one I needed to get the Family Familiar cheev. Thanks so much Xu-Fu peeps. You are legends for all the work!

Shantii wrote on 2017-10-16 16:59:58

I'm confused by the suggestion to swap the crab out for a bit to let Renewing Mists heal it back up. Doesn't Renewing Mists only apply to the ACTIVE pet?

Tink wrote on 2017-10-21 16:27:07

yeah, renewing mists only heals the active pet, so using mists then swapping does nothing for the pet that was swapped out :)

Save fight but 49 Rounds sucks :D

Steve wrote on 2017-04-16 04:48:29

Wow. When I did it, the first pet's 25% chance to stun got me every single time. :p
Still worked though. Just made it take even longer.

Snowmend wrote on 2017-03-30 16:34:38

after messing around forever I came up with a great team that seams to be consistent.
Spawn of G'nathus 2-2-1 Magical Crawdad 1-1-2 wish ftw and a water skimmer 1-2-2

Sheireh wrote on 2017-03-30 06:02:51

I did it with Spawn of G'nathus (2,2,1), Shore Crab (1,2,1) and Tundra Penguin (1,useless,useless). Even though I had some bad luck with the frog kiss, they did it

The RnG on this SUCKS! I have been trying at it for almost an hour and the stupid moth kills everything! I cant even get a HIT on it. Crab does great for the first 2 then face plants on the moth...grrrrr!

Clowie wrote on 2017-03-22 17:25:25

Vosk wrote on 2017-01-27 16:55:04

Chuck is a good filler; he can use Rip/Blood in Water for a big hit and Surge to get frog before he bubbles when trying to finish him off.

Palooka wrote on 2017-01-27 11:36:56

Strategy works great unless the rng is just totally ridiculous like on my first try. Got turned into a frog on every turn on the last pet, even tho it is supposed to be a 25% chance. Just remember, no matter how much of advantage you think you have, these battles will always cheat to the hilt to try and screw you.
