Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Low XP
Breed
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
RNG
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.

couldn't get this to work with HH scrappy. Replaced with Jungle Grub from Octinomos's alt strategy and finished with the two from here (acidic goo on bone crusher rather than rabid strike).

Not working for me.

Darkke

wrote on 2022-05-13 03:44:57

It's not working because it doesn't use Rabid Strike after Scabby dies. It continues to use diseased bite (At least when I tried it). So you're missing out on the 25% additional damage done and the 50% additional damage taken. Bone crusher hits for less, meaning no beast passive, doesn't take 50% additional damage and Vengeance hits for less, since you take less damage in the previous round.

H/H scabby died while bloog still had 500+ hp. 2nd attempt, Xu-Fu got off a moonfire and vengence but they didn't kill bone crusher who still had 500 hp and horn gore 2-shot xu-fu.
moonfire is doing 714 damage each time and vengence is doing 862-949 damage and that is with rabies still on bone crusher. waiting for a crit could take multiple attempts. something else that can hit harder or mitigate the horn gores may work better. 5th attempt worked only because horn gore crit for big damage (left Xu-fu with 171 hp) and vengeance killed bone crusher after that. This did work for me first try. I think it's critical to double check your Scabby is H/H

nearlysober

wrote on 2021-04-26 02:49:07

Then the creator shouldn't have put Scabby as "any" and should've put it as H/H to save people time.

This strategy is terrible, it doesn't work at all Xu-Fu is supposed to 2 shot the 2nd boss pet?
Not even close... seriously who is upvoting this? (edited)

Pumpel

wrote on 2021-05-04 05:55:25

It worked fine for me on 1st try. Xu-Fu's Vengeance killed the 2nd pet. I suppose there is a bit of RNG in this strat but that doesn't mean, it is terrible.
I added a prowl after the first Onyx Bite and killed the 3rd pet with it. Still, I think, there is some RNG in it.

Junrei

wrote on 2021-01-08 13:42:13

The 2nd hit against my Xu-Fu (pre Vengeance in the instructions) was always too small to get the kill in on Bone Crusher, added a Spirt Claws between the Moonfire and Vengeance and that did the trick.

Eliya wrote on 2021-03-28 08:52:15

This strategy worked perfect with Spirt Claws between Moonfire and Vengeance.

Brocknor wrote on 2021-03-07 21:48:41

I tried 15-20 times,, this strat never worked. Like nothing about it works. It must require 5 levels of criticals in order to go as listed. And since the #2 strat with Netherpup instead of Xu-fu worked first time, EXACTLY as listed, this strat should be abandoned.

akesi#1338

wrote on 2021-03-05 20:10:52

Took a couple tries (for some reason vengeance didn't kill bone crusher, and then xu-fu died before chipper came out?), but it's still a pretty solid strat for getting the beast team done.

Logic

Work great.
For those who don't have the Feline Familiar, any Dragonkin with Magic attack is a good replacement.

My Scabby isn't leveled, so I used Antoran Bile Larva as first pet. Plagued Blood--pass--Acidic Goo--Diseased Bite until Bloog dies. Acidic Goo on Bone Crusher. Xu-Fu had to use a single Spirit Claws after Vengeance, but otherwise the other two pets played out as described above.

Emaziz#2862

wrote on 2021-01-08 11:31:34

Thanks! Took 10 attempts before my Larva was able to kill Bloog. Might be easier with other breeds than my P larva

Vampyrr wrote on 2021-02-04 20:10:37

Bile Larva has to crit for this to work or bloog will have too much hp

Truweildude wrote on 2020-12-25 04:53:03

Took a few tries. RNG may kill Xu-Fu before he kills Bonecrusher, restart. Slight mod, use prowl when Chipper lift's off then the onyx bites should finish him off easy.

Dorelei wrote on 2021-01-24 02:16:42

When RNG killed Xu-Fu before Bonecrusher died, Feline Familiar was still able to take out Bonecrusher in one hit with Onyx Bite, and since he was faster he took no damage--so it's still worth a try!

Quefear wrote on 2021-02-02 11:08:49

After onyx bite Bonecrusgher was still alive and hit feline for 3/4 of its Health.
Woroed on 8th try finnally. Either Scabby was dying before kiiling first or XU fu before kiling second. (edited)

I didn't have Scabby leveled, so went with Antoran Bile Larva. Started with Acid Goo, then Acid Goo on 1st round of Bone Crusher. Damage buff seemed to do the trick.

But I would use Prowl + Call Darkness to kill Chipper
+ made a Script for it (Prowl + Call Darkness version):

standby [round=2]
use(Rabid Strike:666) [!enemy.aura(Rabies:807).exists & enemy.hpp=100]
use(Diseased Bite:499)

use(Onyx Bite:437) [enemy(#2).active]
use(Prowl:536) [enemy.round>1]

Eros wrote on 2020-12-21 09:02:23

Small note here: after Xu-Fu use Vengeance he will die, but u will still be able to finish Bone Crusher with Onyx Bite from Feline Familiar. Also, to kill Chipper u just need 1 Onyx Bite and when Chipper Lifts-off u will go Prowl+Onyx Bite afterwards.

D3adbolt

wrote on 2020-12-17 02:22:26

Open with Diseased Bite so you don't amp the damage of Burrow against yourself then pass, then use Rabid Strike. Prowl with Feline Familiar while Chipper uses Lift-Off, 2 Onyx Bites kills him with good RNG.

did not work for me, Bone Crusher crushed Xu-Fu to death, Feline Familiar not good enough for 1.5 enemies ;-)

This one is a real pain! I have an H/H Scabby and still the rng was awful. I played about a bit and started with diseased bite followed by hibernate on the burrow round. The heal often gives enough time to finish off Bloog. Sometimes he doesn't die but sometimes you can get a 2nd hibernate off. Also using the Vengeance/Bite combo with Xu-Fu was more efficient along with Prowl and Onyx Bite with the Feline. Good luck, I found this a really hateful battle!

I couldn't get past Bloog until I changed the order: do the rabid strike with it's 25% increased damage to yourself after Bloog's burrow. In other words, Diseased, pass, Rabid, Diseased, Diseased.

(I was left with 3 HP, and this was on an H/P - 1709 health Scabby.) (edited)

Same here as far as getting past Bloog. Then after Vengeance, Xu-Fu used Bite x1 rather than Spirit Claws before dying. Feline used Stoneskin (Chipper had used Lift-Off), Then Prowl and Onyx Bite x2 for the win (edited)

I used Feline Familiar's Prowl ability when Chipper used Lift Off, so 1/*/1. Then I used Onyx Bite.

In this case you mean 1/*/2 since on 1 is Devour ;)

I must be missing something, but I have yet for Chipper to come in after vengeance by Xu-Fu. Anyone else having an issue?

Is Rabid Strike applied to Bone Crusher before Gnaz died? Also that shouldn't matter if you still can kill Bone Crusher with Xu-Fu or kill him with a first hit with Feline Familiar. Cause Feline Familiar should be easily able to solo Chipper. (edited)

I also agree that Xu-Fu doesn't kill Chipper with Vengenace, but Spirit Claws will finish him off. He will then die but you can bring Feline Familiar in - it will probably lift off first so you can cast Stoneskin (but thats pretty unnecessary)
