Any Pet

You can use pretty much any pet with Stampede-like abilities instead of the Infected Squirrel.

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

Shattered Defenses from the Stampede has been nerfed, but the Green status of the strat indicates it has been tested since prepatch.

If you keep Stampeding until your Squirrel dies, you should be able to mop up pretty easily at worst with a couple of big hits from your third pet.

If you want more info, explain exactly how the battles that failed went. What went wrong?

I just tried this strategy today and it worked perfectly. Still had Infected squirrel and third pet up. Are you sure your pets are rare + correct breeds? I used an H/P squirrel.

A more generic script that also works when using separate pets for Creeping Fungus and Stampede (or no Creeping Fungus pet at all) and also accounts for every possible variation of Stampede I could find:

standby [round=1]
ability(Curse of Doom:218)
ability(Haunt:652)
ability(Creeping Fungus:743) [!enemy.aura(Creeping Fungus:742).exists]
ability(Stampede:163)
ability(Flock:581)
ability(Hunting Party:921)
ability(Inflation:1002)
ability(Murder:870)
ability(Dead Man's Party:1093)
ability(Family Reunion:1796)
ability(Junk Mail:2023)
ability(Puppy Parade:1681)
ability(Falcosaur Swarm!:1773)
ability(Swarm:706)
ability(Zergling Rush:198)

Replaced Infected Squirrel with Mechanical Cockroach (1 * 1) as Infected Squirrel was to be used against Zuna Skullcrush. Worked fine starting with Interrupting Jolt followed by Stampede but may not need the damage from IJ and was slower than Splint.
