Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

Eleanor comes into a bar and orders a whiskey.
Says the bartender: Sorry, we don't serve spirits.
That was pretty bad. I apologize.

I do mud slide 1st as she charges , then bubble, rest same

I used a 25 B/B uncommon Mud Jumper and Eleanor actually ended up killing it on the undead round, which meant that my two leveling pets in back row got a bit xp out of it. Totally planned. :D

Diondra wrote on 2019-07-25 05:30:19

I used a lvl 25 Rare B/B Mud Jumper and ended up with 1 HP left after undead round.

Sorido wrote on 2019-07-25 04:31:48

I use Iron Starlette (any breed) 1,x,1 and Stitched Pup x,2,x
Round 1. Wind-Up
Round 2. change to Stitched Pup (it will die but turns to undead mode)
Round 3. Howl (Stitched Pup finally dies)
Round 4. change to Iron Starlette
Round 5. Supercharge
Round 6. Wind-Up (one hit and Eleanor dies and turns to undead mode)
Round 7. pass

Here is the Script:
use(Wind-Up:459) [enemy.round=1]
change(Stitched Pup:1146) [enemy.round=2]
use(Howl:362)
change(Iron Starlette:1387)
use(Supercharge:208) [enemy.round=5]
use(Wind-Up:459) [enemy.round=6]
standby [enemy.round=7]

I know it's pretty pointless at this stage of the game, but, this is the shortest, fastest TDScript for this battle:

standby [ enemy.aura(Undead:242).exists ]
use(#3)
use(#2)
use(#1)

Shelli wrote on 2018-04-22 11:20:10

Is there a strategy to use so that the carry pets get xp? When I use the lineup the way it is posted, my carry pets get no credit.
Thank you.

This Mud Jumper strategy is the best one! I always put in three just in case I have a bad day. But I have never need more but one!

Prudentius wrote on 2017-07-11 15:11:12

TD Script ( 3 lines, 36 characters )

ability(934)
ability(572)
ability(228)

Notes: This is as complicated as the script needs to be.
*** Benax, from Suramar is the best frog with this moveset available.

Heather wrote on 2017-06-13 00:50:13

This script should do it:
ability(Bubble)
if [ enemy(#1).active ]
ability(Mudslide)
ability(Tongue Lash)
endif

This TD script do the pet battle 1-2 second faster :)

standby [enemy.aura(Undead).exists]
ability(Bubble) [round=1]
ability(Mudslide)
ability(Tongue Lash)

Got 218xp with safari hat using a lvl 24 mud jumper and the 2 low lvl pets got nothing

Anonymous wrote on 2017-04-12 23:18:18

for levelers wondering, this fight rewards only 319 xp with safari hat

Rakenessa wrote on 2017-04-27 12:29:05

Yep, they nerfed menagerie so people couldn't sit in their garrison and level pets all day. (Since we were already wasting our lives away inside of our garrisons during WoD.

Wow, that's even easier than using rabbits against him.

This pet isn't a part of the Xu'Fu's group,
but a Mud Jumper (I have H/B, not sure what about B/B) can solo this battle.
Tongue Lash, Mudslide, Bubble.

Block first two attacks, rest is just a formality. :)

I got a Mud Jumper B/B, which works fine with this strategy as well.

Daesagos wrote on 2015-11-05 04:39:59

Anyone here wants to oneshot Eleanor? Then you will need a Vengeful Porcupette:
Turn 1: Bite or Powerball (doesn't really matter which one you use. Both should be strong enough)
Turn 2: Survival
Turn 3: Vengeance
If you get lucky and Vengeance crits, Eleanor is dies ;)
Otherwise swap to Chrominius -> Surge of Power. Done :)

To formalise the Teroclaw solo strat. I believe this is a 100% strat. A bit long but very simple.

There is no RNG on our side, and my Teroclaw barely dipped below half-health at its lowest (and was still faster without the flying racial) so I doubt that Eleanor crits would spoil it.

Alpha Strike
Dodge (dodges Death Bleat)
Alpha Strike
Nature's Ward
Alpha Strike

I'm seeing the Teroclaw popping up in all sorts of places now ;-) Alpha Strike works better for this fight, does slightly more damage than Claw. Thanks for providing the turns already! I changed them a bit because the additional Dodge/Nature's Warden are actually not necessary. Just hammering through works perfectly fine :D

Gráinne

wrote on 2015-05-27 22:47:26

I'm trying out the Teroclaw on everything. :)

Teroclaw Hatchling solos Eleanor comfortably. A bit slower than I'd like, but with no danger. Either attack will do for slot 1. Use Dodge when Eleanor is about to discharge Death Bleat. Keep Nature's Ward up after round 2, and refresh it when Eleanor casts Rot so that her Critter attack won't be strong. I think you could fit in a second Dodge between Death Bleats, but it was so easy I didn't bother trying it.

Gráinne

wrote on 2015-05-13 07:28:24

Tested this today. It worked perfectly. Except for Eleanor crits - and even they may not be a problem - it's a very sure method.
