Great Strat, and it works in SL 9.0.1. Similar to my other comments for Odrogg FF fights, I try to win and grab exp for a pet or two of the same family. In this case, I used two low level Magic pets (I think they can be any level, mine were lvl 9 and 1) and replaced the 3 passes with two swaps to those pets. Then continued with step 5 (smash). Worked perfectly. Thanks again!

Sanctum Cub (tested with H/P breed) demolishes this fight too. Picked (1, 1, 2), kept Stoneskin active, Black Claw on target and just spam Pounce. Managed to solo this entire fight but having something decent as a backup (my favorite is Hyjal Wisp) is a good idea too.

Used this strategy with two level 1 magic pets during the pet xp bonus week - worked a treat. I just brought in the level 1s in the Pass turns and then Trucks was brought back.Took five fights to get them both to 25. (It's not without risk, only once did Trunks die but I had a level 18 pet which finished the fight).

Level 25 Nightmare Bell (1,1,2) keep curse of doom up, call of darkness when available and shadow shock to fill. I was able to get another curse in before I died. Brought in level 25 enchanted pen (1, 1,1) and immediately used the Evanescence to dodge., Kept up foreboding curse and quills to fill. I had a mailemental but never got to use it.

Hyjal Whisp can solo all 3 of the pets. After Rocklick finished Stone Form use Wish and then spam Arcane Blast until he is dead. When Slow Moe comes in use Evanescence when he is about to Headbutt and Wish on CD, same goes when Snot comes in and when he use Dive. hope it helps

I didn't have any of the pets listed here, so I gave it a try with a P/B (1,2,1) Sanctum Cub who managed to destroy the first two pets, and had Snot down to 59 hp before he died to the dive. My second pet was a level 23 Twilight Fiendling that just walked in and raked for the win. Use Dodge to avoid anything scary (headbutt that always follows the shell shield, etc) otherwise spam Pounce.

This is great for leveling two other magic pets while simultaneously getting the achievement criteria. Just swap the first pet in for turn 2, then swap the second pet in for turn 3, then swap back to Trunks for turn 4, as opposed to passing 3 times.

I used the alternate strat with Trunks but I kept smashing instead of passing which means that the first pet died faster. I didn't use ethereal so, Trunks dies and I can swtich to leveling and then the finishing pet.

The 2nd Alternate strategy involving Trunks should be the main strategy imo. Even though Trunks is rarer, the ability to use one pet and maybe level 2 others is while completing the achievement is much better than the first strategy which did not work for me.
