Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
RNG
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.

This strategy works well in the Shadowlands pre-patch as of November 4th, 2020.

A slight variation, I didn't have the crimson spore but had seaborne so I swapped him in and got Watcher with Glowing Toxin. You won't get explode off, anyway, after soulrush just ethereal and then finish up with Peck or Talon.

Call Lightning and then Black Claw + Flock done

Lizzerazu wrote on 2017-11-08 06:33:26

I used firefly as my third pet. Any other flyer with swarm could do as backup.
If opponent gets a crit in on you, your ikky will die. so just incase you need another swarm flyer.

vaania

wrote on 2018-02-03 05:24:10

Ikky does not get to Flock because he gets 2 x shot
pass, call lightning, swatp to ikky, black claw, next turn ikky dead

Suzie wrote on 2018-02-13 05:14:29

Absolutely brutal, loved this strat

Elfheaven

wrote on 2018-04-04 11:29:07

I used SS chicken and Ikky, Egg barrage then Black claw and Flock,

katiefraggle

wrote on 2018-04-11 15:48:11

For those saying this is not working - you need a moth with call lightning and 289+ speed in the first slot, Ikky in second, and any flyer in third.

1. call lighning - moth is toast
2. bring in ikky - Black claw
3+ flock - Ikky will survive because Watcher is recovering.

The important part of this equation is the moth in the first slot with a speed 289 or greater to get the lightning off before watcher does the cannon. WIN!

Eekwibble

wrote on 2018-05-09 05:53:09

Not quite correct. Watcher has 413sp so any moth with >271sp is fast enough, and of all moths with Call Lightning there are only 2 breeds of Vale Flitter that have <271 (H/P and P/P breeds).
There is no mathematical way this strat can fail if people follow the right steps.
Vaania above, for example, must have used a soak pet for Antaen Cannon instead of putting the moth in first. There's no other way Ikky could get hit twice.

snowfeather hatchling with warning squawk, ikky with black claw and flock bloodgazer with predatory strike

I used Brilliant Spore (1,2,2) Ikky (1,1,1) and Bloodgrazer Hatchling (2,1,1) doesnt matter which falcosaur pet really.

Round 1: Blinding Powder
Round 2: Swap to Ikky
Round 3: Black Claw
Round 4: Flock until Ikky dies
Round 5: Bring in Hatchling
Round 6: Falcosaur Swarm
Round 7: Bring in Spore
Round 8: Reckless Strike (crit will kill Watcher)
Round 9: Blinding Powder
Round 10: Reckless Strike

Ttaka wrote on 2017-10-11 18:14:17

Bobbi wrote on 2017-10-08 10:35:05

Three hatchlings worked for me first try. Bloodgazer, Direbeak and Snowfeather.
Bloodgazer swarm then bloodgazer dies,
Direbeak strike then swarm, ironskin, swarm Direbeak dies,
Snowfeather strike and then swarm.
watcher dead :)

Aixa wrote on 2017-10-10 11:16:03

This worked. Only difference for mine is my Direbeak got killed before Ironskin. Watcher's health was low enough that it only took one strike from Snowfeather to kill him though.

Darielyia wrote on 2017-10-07 20:31:36

Worked first time and I was happy to see pets being used that you never see in a strategy!

Puny wrote on 2017-10-07 09:07:25

I couldn't get it to work with crow but the Gilnean Rave worked a treat tyvm

Tubbychaser (Archimonde) wrote on 2017-08-29 17:30:27

Crow 222, Ikky 111, Snowfeather Hatchling 121
Call Darkness
Crow dies bring in ikky
Black Claw
Flock
Ikky Dies Bring in Snowfeather
Predatory Strike

Anonymous wrote on 2017-08-31 03:59:51

This works, but only if the Crow is P/S or S/S (technically it has a 50% chance of working with a B/B Crow as the enemy pet's speed is matched) - it won't work with P/B.

It does always work with a Gilnean Raven. Going to submit that strategy as it is much easier pet requirements than this.

Aderana wrote on 2017-09-05 05:31:23

Yup. Tubbychaser's strat with Gilnean Raven as suggested. Perfect.

Lilianne wrote on 2017-09-05 07:33:59

Rilla wrote on 2017-09-19 15:12:23

Crow, Ikky and Brilliant Kaliri (1,1,1) - Ikky miss with first black claw in step 2 , but i continued fight and did black claw as 3 move, so when my Brilliant Kaliri came Call Darkness was ended - but single Shriek finished Watcher

Dubhglas wrote on 2017-09-21 20:14:49

Any speed pet with call darkness works, I used Northern Hawk Owl. This should be an official strat.

Dalster wrote on 2017-09-03 10:49:43

Crisp and easy 2 pet method.
Dragon Kite (1,1,1) - Ikky (1,1,1) - Any Flying
Dragon kite - Call Lightning *Dragon Kite goes boom)
Ikky - Black Claw into Flock. Boss dead.

---Any moth faster than 413 with Call lightning will do if you don't have Dragon Kite.

Lamda wrote on 2017-09-17 00:33:41

Much better than solidstate77's strat. Fast, reliable.
I don't get how solidstate77's can work. All the pets are 260 speed and there are no alternate breeds for faster versions of those pets. Watcher beat them to the punch every time.

LN wrote on 2017-09-20 22:50:56

Worked Well. Ty

Yarini wrote on 2017-09-19 02:18:26

Didn't have Blazing Firehawk, but managed with just 2 pets.
Orphaned Felbat (X-2-X), Bloodgazer Hatchling (1-1-X)

Turn 1 - Black Claw, Orphaned Felbat dies.
Bring in Bloodgazer Hatchling
Turn 2-3 - Falcosaur Swarm!
Turn 4 - Slicing Wind

If you don't hit 3 times with Slicing Wind you may need to use your third pet. Had another falcosaur in the wings (no pun intended) waiting to use Predatory Strike, but almost any pet would be able to finish him off.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-08 14:37:59

Yepah wrote on 2017-09-03 00:09:07

I managed it with Chi-Chi, Hatchling of Chi-Ji P/S (2, 2, 1), Stormwing P/B (1, 1, 2), and Firewing B/B (2, 1, 1). Start with Chi-Chi, Ethereal. Swap to Stormwing, Call Lightning, Flock (Stormwing dies). Bring in Firewing, Scorched Earth, Deep Burn (Firewing Dies). Bring in Chi-Chi, Alpha Strike, Ethereal, Alpha Strike x3. Win :)
